Meet Dr. Ron Sand
Dr. Ron Sand
Dr. Sand received his B.S. in Biology from York College of Pennsylvania, and attended the University Of Minnesota College Of Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school, Dr. Sand was one of two students selected to work under the tutelage of Dr. Carl Osborn – a world renowned leader in the field of Veterinary Urology. He was president of the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association and also a yearbook photographer. Upon graduation, Dr. Sand entered into private practice and became medical director at one of the largest private, non-referral 24-hour veterinary medical/emergency facilities in Maryland. His areas of interest include internal medicine, endocrinology, ultrasound, and orthopedics.
Dr. Sand, although not a specialist, has almost 30 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound and has performed thousands of procedures. He is a member of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Greater Baltimore Veterinary Medical Association.
On a personal level, when not practicing Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Sand enjoys cooking, woodworking, spending time with his family, and numerous outdoor activities.
